OIC: Biblical counseling is simply the ministry of graciously applying the truths of the Bible to the challenges of life. We believe and teach that the Bible speaks authoritatively to every issue of life.
What Do We Believe the Bible Teaches?
We serve with OIC so we have their mission and vision statements below. When it comes to our personal Statement of Faith we have beliefs that drive us as we minister overseas and at the local church. In addition, many people ask "What is Biblical Counseling? If you click on the pictures below they will bring you to further resources that help explain our statement of faith and what is biblical counseling.
Mission Statement: Training Biblical Counseling Trainers Around the World for the Glory of God. Biblical counseling is simply the ministry of graciously applying the truths of the Bible to the challenges of life. We believe and teach that the Bible speaks authoritatively to every issue of life. More specifically, we believe that the Bible ultimately points people to a Person and a relationship - Jesus Christ as Savior and Redeemer. We believe that real change occurs when people learn to understand themselves and their problems in the context of a living, vital relationship with Christ.
Strategic Objective: Assisting in the Initial Creation and/or Continuing Development of National, Culture-Specific, Biblical Counseling Certifying Organizations. In other words, our ultimate goal is to train enough biblical counseling trainers in each nation that they can form a network - and, later, an association or organization - of biblical counseling trainers that promotes biblical counseling and certifies biblical counselors in their nation.
Our personal statement of faith can be clearly seen in Grace Community Church's Doctrinal Statement, pastored by John MacArthur.
